Bhagavan Sambhavnath

Bhagvan Sambhavnath was born in Shravasti, on fourteenth day of the bright half of the month of Margshrish. His father name was King Jitari and Mother name was Sena Devi. After long span of life time, he took diksha on the fifteenth day of the bright half of the month of Margshrish along with 1000 other mens.

After 14 years of diksha and worldly life abondment Lord Sambhavnath attained (kevalgyan) salvation on 5th day of the dark half of the month of kartik and constellation of Margshrish.

On the fifth day of the bright half of the month of Chaitra, Bhagwan Sambhavnath, along with other 1000 saints was liberated and attained nirvana on Sammet Shikhar (mountain).

Bhagwan Sambhavnath Dev lived for 60 lakh purv of which he spent 4 purvarg less of one lakh purv as an ascetics and 14 years of Meditation and Spiritual Practices (sahdana/tap).

It is believed that Sambhavnath prabhu was 400 measure of bow(at that time unit of measurement was bow i.e. bow of bow & arrow) in height.
